The terms that apply when you buy a subscription or edition from us. Plain English where we can manage it — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.
These terms are between you and Santana Concepts Pty Ltd (ABN 59 701 532 925), trading as The Little Post ("we", "us"). By completing a purchase, or by completing the onboarding steps after a gift purchase, you agree to these terms.
Questions about these terms: hello@thelittlepost.com.au. Questions about privacy specifically: privacy@thelittlepost.com.au.
| Plan | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $49/month | Recurring subscription — cancel any time |
| 3-Month | $135 one payment | One-time — three editions, no renewal |
| 6-Month | $240 one payment | One-time — six editions, no renewal |
Each edition includes a personalised publication, a letter from you (or whoever wrote it), a reply card and prepaid envelope, and postage — see the site for the current description of what's included. Prices are in Australian dollars. We're not currently registered for GST, so nothing here includes a GST component.
We may add or change plans in future (for example, longer prepaid terms). Doing so won't change the terms of a plan you've already paid for.
Payments are processed by Stripe on their own secure page. We never see or store your card details. For the Monthly plan, your card is charged automatically each billing period until you cancel.
For the Monthly plan, if a renewal payment doesn't go through, Stripe may automatically retry it. If payment still can't be collected, your subscription may be suspended or ended. We don't currently run our own separate reminder or retry process — this is handled by Stripe's payment recovery settings, which we review periodically.
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee. The easiest way is the "Manage or cancel your plan" link in your subscription emails, which takes you to a secure Stripe page — no need to email us, though you're welcome to.
These plans are a single payment for a fixed number of editions — there's no ongoing billing to cancel. But if you'd like to stop before all editions are sent, email hello@thelittlepost.com.au and we'll refund the editions that haven't yet been committed to print.
How the refund is worked out. We refund each not-yet-committed edition at the plan's real per-edition price — not the full undiscounted rate. That's $45 per remaining edition on the 3-Month plan, and $40 per remaining edition on the 6-Month plan.
For example: if you stop a 6-Month plan after two editions have gone to print, we refund the remaining four at $40 each — $160.
The cutoff is when an edition is committed to print — the point at which we've locked in the final artwork and sent it for production. Once that's happened for a particular edition, it isn't refundable, because we've already incurred the cost of producing it. Any edition that hasn't reached that point yet is refunded in full at the per-edition rate above.
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method, normally within a few business days.
Nothing in this document limits, excludes, or restricts your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — including the guarantee that what you receive is of acceptable quality, matches its description, and is fit for the purpose it's sold for. Those rights exist regardless of anything else in these terms, and apply on top of the cancellation and refund terms above, not instead of them.
We print and post from Sydney, and aim to get a first edition moving within around two weeks of receiving your first letter — but this is a target, not a guarantee. We run print production roughly twice a month, so exactly when your letter arrives relative to that cycle affects timing, and postage adds further variability once it leaves us. If something looks unusually delayed, email us and we'll check on it.
Delivery is currently Australia-only: the child's delivery address and the reply-card return address must both be in Australia. The person buying doesn't have to be in Australia themselves — but if you're both the buyer and the one writing letters and receiving replies, you'll need an Australian address for the reply card to come back to.
You must be 18 or older to buy a subscription or edition from us. We don't currently verify this, but by completing a purchase you're confirming it's true.
If you're not the child's parent or guardian, our Privacy Policy explains what we ask you to confirm, and what we do to keep the parent or guardian informed.
This is a product for young children, and the letters and voice recordings that go into it are reviewed by a person before anything reaches a child — see the "Voice recordings" section of our Privacy Policy for how that works. We can decline to send or to withhold anything we consider inappropriate for a child, and we'll let you know if we do.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a change that materially affects an active subscription, we'll email you before it takes effect. Changes don't apply retroactively to a one-time plan you've already paid for under the terms in place at the time.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to re-supplying the affected edition, or refunding what you paid for it — whichever we choose. This doesn't limit any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which can't be excluded by this or any other document.
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
